Sean Polk, the founder of Texas Mosca, grew up in Arlington, Texas, where his love for fishing began in the lakes and rivers of the region. With over 30 years of fly fishing experience, Sean has spent the last two decades teaching and managing sales at top fly shops. His deep knowledge of local waters has made him a sought-after speaker at state fishing clubs and earned him features in Lone Star Outdoors News and Field & Stream.

Sean’s fly fishing adventures have taken him across the Americas, from Punta Allen, Mexico at The Palometa Club to Turneffe Flats Lodge in Belize and the jungles of Bolivia in pursuit of golden dorado.

In addition to guiding, Sean is a talented fly tier, often creating custom flies for his clients. His unique flies are known for their ease of use and effectiveness, enhancing the fishing experience.

Now based in Dallas with his wife, Shonda, Sean enjoys perfecting his barbecue craft and bird hunting when he’s not on the water.
