How long is each lesson?

Lessons are generally one hour in length.

Do I need to bring my own equiment?

No we provide all the fly rods and reels. But you’re always welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Where will the lesson take place?

The location of the lesson may vary, but usually somewhere near White Rock Lake in east Dallas. If you have a local pond or access to some fishy water, we are happy to meet onsite.

What is the focus of a beginner lesson?

The essential techniques of fly casting, including proper grip, rod motion, and forming clean loops to deliver your fly accurately.

What is the focus of an intermediate or advanced lesson?

Refining your delivery, improving efficiency, and overcoming tricky conditions like wind or heavy flies. We’ll work on distance, presentation, off-hand casting, and advanced loop control.

Do you offer custom or group lessons?

Absolutely. Group lessons, on-the-water instruction, and one-day schools are available. Just contact us and we’ll design something to match your needs.
