Lake Whitney

FLY FISHING TRIPS

Embark on a Lake Whitney fly fishing trip and discover one of Central Texas’s hidden gems.

Known for its deep coves, clear water, and structure-rich shoreline, Lake Whitney offers a dynamic fishery just a short drive from DFW.

Our guided fly fishing trips on Lake Whitney are ideal for targeting striped bass, largemouth bass, sand bass, and even carp — all in a scenic, low-pressure environment. These trips run seasonally, with spring and early summer offering the best action as fish push into shallows and transition zones.

This is a boat-based trip with opportunities to wade when conditions allow. Waders are recommended in cooler months, while light clothing and wading boots work well as temperatures warm up. Whether you’re a beginner or a returning client chasing your next trophy bass, Lake Whitney delivers a memorable day on the water with expert instruction throughout.
